I know that we have been somewhat silent over the last few weeks, but we have been working hard on the next release of Haasbot, which is Haasbot 2.3. Haasbot 2.3 is a bit of a pivot towards expanding what Haasbot can do. There will be a few changes, but we feel that these changes are for the better and that our users will like the changes in 2.3. With that said, we have an overview of what is to come.
Dropping Arbitrage Bot Support
First, we will be officially dropping support for our arbitrage bots. The arbitrage bots have been very hard to maintain and due to the fact that exchanges like to round down coins (if you have 0.04, this can get rounded down to 0.00), it makes it impossible for our arbitrage bot to function as it is designed. Because of this, we will be removing the arbitrage bots from our platform, but we will be giving all license's a new feature that should help users better fine tune your bots, which is the Indicator Scanner.
The indicator scanner is a new feature that allows you to select an indicator within a trade bot, select a specific value you want to find the best results and then backtest all of the different variations of that indicator for the time period selected. It will then run through all the possibilities of deviation offset, reverse trade signal, and the value range you select to find the best settings in terms of profit. For example, this allows you to figure out what the best 15 minute Stochastic length, what the deviation offset should be, if reversed trade signals should be enabled or not, over the last week (if thats the backtesting time period). This feature will give you better insight into different indicator settings and you will find some very interesting results that can enable you to increase the profit generated when running a specific strategy within specific market conditions. We feel that this is a far more useful feature than the arbitrage bot, as we have been using it ourselves.
OKCoin and BitVC Futures Support
The next major announcement for what is being introduced in Haasbot 2.3 is that we have expanded Haasbot to support Futures trading on OKCoin and BitVC. The futures trade bot supports 10x and 20x leverage for both Bitcoin and Litecoin on OKCoin.com and 5x, 10x, and 20x leverage for Bitcoin on BitVC. This has been a massive undertaking by the Haasonline Software team, as futures markets function differently than spot markets, but this integration allows users to implement successful trading strategies from spot trading to the futures markets with higher leverage. During the beta testing period, all users will be able to use the new Futures Bots for free, but once we release the release build, users will need to upgrade their license if they wish to use the futures bots.
Because of the potential for the new Futures Trade Bots, this feature will be an add-on for a license. Users will be able to upgrade their license for Futures support. Futures support will be available for 0.22 BTC for a 3 month Beginner License, 0.30 BTC for a 3 month Simple License, and 0.45 BTC for a 3 month Advanced License. For license types longer than three months, the price for the futures add-on is the same as the Haasbot licenses itself.
We will allow existing users to upgrade their license to futures support and we will follow the formula of the following:
Code: Select all
What you paid for the license / the total number of days for your license X the number of days remaining in your license
A new feature that will be included in Haasbot 2.3 is the Orderbook View. This allows users to view the orderbook of all/any of the exchanges they are connected to. This allows you to watch the orderbooks and quickly switch over to the marketview page if you need to manually execute a trade. This allows a trader to get as much information as possible so that they can make the most informed trading decisions.
There are some other new features that will be included in 2.3, such as new time intervals (25 minute RSI anyone?), 6 view marketview page, new indicators, BTCChina support, and more! We are extremely excited about the Futures integration and the potential is massive for users who have successful strategies. We do not have an ETA, as the current build is still in the alpha stages of development, but we will give a more general time based update once we get there.
If you have any questions about the upcoming release, feel free to get in touch with us on the forum or via support ticket.
